8th Malaysian Road Conference 2010

Call For Technical Papers

The Technical Committee of MRC invites submission of papers for the 8th Malaysian Road Conference. The theme of the conference is : "Towards Sustainable Road Development and Operations".

Papers shall be submitted in two stages, first as an abstract, and then as the full paper after the abstract is accepted. Submission of abstracts is now open to both local and international authors.

Abstracts are invited over a wide range of highway and traffic engineering fields such as network management and operations, road safety engineering, highway structures, road pavement, transport economics, road user behavior, transport planning, geo-technical and slope engineering works.

Paper/s submitted by authors should be original and have not been published or presented before.

Deadline For Abstract :

1st November 2009

Format for Abstract :

All submissions must be in English and about 300 words in length.
Double spacing on A4 size paper (210mm x 297mm) in Microsoft Word (PC) or PDF format.
Author/Co-author’s name/s, title/s, position/s, organization/s and contact address/es (including email address/es), should be provided in the abstract.
The presenting author’s name must be underlined. Paper/s should not have been published or presented elsewhere.

Submission of email address/es is essential. Most if not all correspondences shall be carried out via email

Deadline For Full Paper
Authors will be informed of the acceptance of their abstracts by 15 January 2010.
Deadline for full paper/s submission is 15 March 2010.

Cash Award
Three Cash Awards of USD 1,500, USD 1,000 and USD 500 are offered to the three best papers.
(The decision by an independent panel of judges appointed by the Organising Committee shall be final)

The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the conference. However, the presenter (only one for each accepted paper) will be entitled to free registration as participant to the Conference.

By submitting this abstract, you grant the Organising Committee permission to publish the abstract and paper in the Conference.
